I am the CEO of Ralston360 an advertising and design agency with offices in Bend, Oregon and San Francisco. Ralston360 is a full-service advertising and design firm with the goal of helping our clients grow and nurture Delighted Customers.
Prior to joining Ralston360, I served as the President and CEO of ActiveBuddy, an instant messaging technology company whose clients included Intel, AOL-Time Warner, Frito Lay and Capitol Records. You may know ActiveBuddy by our bot “SmarterChild” who still lives on AIM.
In the mid-1990s, I developed and launched the award-winning New Jersey Online where I was the President & CEO. In those heady days I got to invent web publishing with Jeff Jarvis of BuzzMachine fame and the rather energetic Susan Mernit now of Yahoo! The Columbia Journalism Review recognized New Jersey Online’s editorial excellence as being one of the “Top Ten News Sites” in 1997. In 1999, the Newspaper Association of America named me its “New Media Pioneer” – I got an embroidered leather jacket. New Jersey Online also had a website development division and we built early stage sites for a range of clients that included Nabisco, VISA and Microsoft.
From 1980 to my discovery of the Internet in 1995, I managed Fortune 500 advertising accounts at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Worldwide. I held a variety of positions including European Director in London, General Manager of the Minneapolis office, and Senior Vice President in New York. My clients included Johnson & Johnson, General Mills, Sara Lee, Northwest Airlines and Bertelsmann’s BMG Records.
